New Releases: What upcoming games are you looking forward to?
Being a huge fan of the Splinter Cell series, I picked this game up the day it came out looking for my next stealthy assassin fix. This game was a little disappointing. The first level opens up with Sam Fisher doing exactly what he is meant to do, sneak around an enemy encampment and taking out the bad guys. After that level, the game goes a little downhill, once Sam is recruited by the enemy agency, half the game gets spent with Sam doing missions and puzzles inside the enemy hideout. These missions are annoying, tedious and aggravating. You get very little guidance on what to do and where to go, they impose infuriating time limits, and your stealth mechanic (the whole point of buying this game) is horribly broken. The story is engaging, but I didn't find it was good enough to keep me engaged enough to see it through to the end.
